25K specimen at USM, many unmounted, many Miss material is in other states.

L: Collections in private hands. Need incentives for collectors to cooperate in digitizing collections. (350K mounted specimens in deteriorating condition).

Farm out specimens for imaging

Should people collaborate as to databases?

Lowell, Dianne (LSU): high end digital camera will be available, scanner presently there. Also have trouble getting people money.

Tulane: wish for a new building  Wish: funding.

Chris Reid La Natural Heritage Program wants to search label data. (This is all in db at Tulane, not all in db at LSU).
